JOB DESCRIPTION
2 GeneralDescription
Theprimary responsibility is to ensure that International Team is providing thebest- in- class service to the customer. The candidate is expected to work with internaland external customers to establish and agree on SOP for transportationservices and service level agreement. The candidate is expected to manage theteam to achieve and maintain the committed KPI. The candidate must drive theteam to ensure high performance and excellent quality service is beingdelivered to the customer. The candidate would have to manage the subcontractorsto ensure that the service level given is aligned with the expectations of ourcustomers.
Thepurpose of this position is to be responsible for cross- border landtransportation. This candidate must have excellent communication and clientmanagement skills to maintain positive client relations. This candidate must bean initiative- taker, who is able to work in a fast- pacedand dynamic environment. This candidate must be a collaborator to ensure goodworking cooperation between the different Business units locally andregionally.
Thesecondary responsibility is to support the Manager to suggest fresh ideas tolower costs, increase margin and improve the service level. The candidate isexpected to keep in touch with market trends and adapt innovative technologiesto disrupt the current market
3 SpecificAccountabilities
P&L
· Responsible forProfit and Loss of International team.
· Achieve thefinancial, strategic targets, KPIs and other goals set for International team.
TransportationOperations
· Evaluate &escalate to upper subcontractors&039; service problems if in need.
· Manage &adjust jobs among staff so that operation can go smoothly.
· Support theDomestics team (if required).
· Ensurecompliance with country subcontractor management policies and procedures.
· Perform internalreviews of adherence to country standards as well as customer SOPs with regardsto transportation activities
· Manage andensure that transportation operations are being delivered in accordance withthe SOP and stipulated KPIs.
· Keep closecontact with customers to set good relationships & get their support inevery operation.
· Collaborateclosely with KAM team, Schenker Oversea, subcontractors & other departmentsto get updated business information & solve problems if happen.
· Ensure that theteam will achieve a high- level of KPI and operation standard.
· Make weeklyshipment report, KPI report for staff also then submit to manager.
· Guide andsupport all functions for all related transportation matters.
· Analyzebreaches/irregularities, coordinate corrective actions with other functions (e.g.,Products or Legal) and the BUs and take the lead for critical breaches (e.g.,withdrawal of business- critical licenses).
· Ensure that thebilling is completed accurately and timely and P&L is managed accurately.
· Go to visit thefactory/have meeting with customers if required.
· Make sure allstaffs entry shipment in TMS & make payment on time.
ProcessImprovement
· Contribute todefining and optimizing productivity and efficiency parameters and workflowprocesses.
KPI Management
· Ensure the deliveryservice of the Schenker team as well as the subcontractors.
HSSE
· Rectify nearmisses and report near misses to HSSE.
· Ensure staffadhere to HSSE guidelines and provide guidance during new implementations.
· Understand theHSSE policy of the company.
· Ensure that HSSEguidance is followed by subcontractors & staff.
· Conduct auditstogether with HSSE team.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills Required
· Strong attention to detail with a keen eyefor process improvement
· Strong critical thinking, analytical, andproblem- solving skills
· Excellent interpersonal and communicationskills, both verbal and written, in English; fluency in Chinese is a plus
· Team player with a positive workingattitude and the ability to learn quickly
· Well- balanced business and systemsknowledge
Experienceand Qualifications
· 3–5 years of experience in landtransportation–related operations, especially cross- border trucking,
At least more 1 years of experience as a Supervisor/Leader position
· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Operations,Logistics Engineering, or a related field
· Experience in transport management system(TMS) implementation, especially BluJay LSP TMS, is a strong plus
