Responsibilities
Understand the requirement written in specification, identify ways to earn points and clarifying effective countermeasures. Public bidding has strict deadlines and no bids will be accepted after the deadline, so be able to plan and act in accordance with these regulations.
Conduct an investigation and confirmation test building to ensure that the requirements are met before submitting a proposal. Things written in proposal will mostly asking for evidence, you have to gather information from product manuals, actual test results, convincing performance graphs with logical explanation that proposed system will clearly cover requirements. This can be conducted as a team so you will get help from your mentor or team members to study, learn and grow up.
Since this is a field where new technology is generated, you are required to accept the possibility of constantly confronting new things and to improve yourself.
Although there are various demands, there are some common proposals that can be made, so it is necessary for you to organize them well so that you or team members can respond to many demands efficiently in the future.
Requirements
Excel in Teamwork and group members.
Computer Networking (OSI Model, TCP/IP protocol, DHCP, DNS, DMA etc.)
Strong scripting ability on Linux based system.
Logical, strong analytical thinking & problem finding skills.
Computer Architecture (Memory Hierarchy, Paging, Multicore System, Disk and Device I/O, etc.)
Basic computing infrastructure knowledge and experience
Communication skills: Verbal and Written.
Preferred Skills
Workload knowledge including fluent operation skills of Slurm or OpenPBS or JupyterHub are plus.
HPC knowledge and benchmark tool experience: Linpack, HPL.
Programming skills: C/C++, Fortran, Python
Parallel file system Lustre or BeeGFS knowledge and benchmark tool experience: IOR or MDTEST or IOZONE are plus.
Communication skill: English, Japanese
Container knowledge including fluent operation skills of Docker or Kubernetes or Singularity are plus.
AI/ML knowledge and benchmark tool experience: MLPerf.
Education
Bachelor Degree in Engineering Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Physics or equivalent
