Main Duties
Monitors employee morale and provides honest performance feedback and development opportunities.
Organizing all Employee Activities.
Delegates as appropriate the duties and responsibilities necessary to trained employees who are well equipped and resourced to correctly accomplish these tasks.
Ensures that all members of the team are aware of the company mission, live the values and are consistent in their behavior to enable excellence in serving and anticipating guest needs.
Co- ordinates and arranges Inquiry Meeting for Disciplinary Action Procedures.
Prepare monthly HR reports and personnel commentary for P&L Report
Manages the recruitment advertisements that reinforces the corporate identity and projects a professional image.
Ensures that an organized, up- to- date filing system is maintained for all personnel records.
Manages the employee canteen staffing and the food quality at the canteen.
Ensures consistent and fair Grievance handling and Misconduct management providing professional counselling and coaching to correct inappropriate behaviours.
Liaises with the local authorities for all related matters as assigned by owner presentative
Maintains close relationship with academic institutions and hotel schools.
Ensures all employment practices are in keeping with local legislation.
Lead recruitment activities which ensure that the hotel has the right talent in the right role.
Focuses attention on improving productivity levels and the need to prudently manage utility/ payroll costs within acceptable guidelines ensuring optimum deployment and energy efficiency of all equipment.
Manages the Human Resources computer systems to effectively manage payroll.
Ensures that employees have a complete understanding of the hotel Work Rules and Regulations, and that their behaviour complies. Corrects inappropriate behaviour in accordance with policy.
Other Duties
Attends and participates in Briefings/Meetings as required.
Prudently balances resources and standards of service to meet the financial goals of the hotel, Company Standards and guest expectations.
Ensures that Company Strategies, initiatives, communications and Employee Information pieces are appropriately communicated to employees in a timely manner.
Maintains high personal standards of timekeeping, always present for duty as scheduled.
Provides sufficient training, development and learning opportunities to ensure that employees are developed to their full potential, and are confident.
Takes an active involvement in the welfare, safety, development and well- being of employees.
Exercises responsible practices and personal behaviour at all times, positively representing the hotel Team and Company Standard
Responds to requests to undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties and adjust to changes as dictated by hotel, industry and company.
Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming, acting as a positive role model.
Is fully familiar with the hotel Work Rules and work regulations governing employees and their behaviour and ensures these are always accurately communicated and carefully followed.
Provides guidance, advice, counselling and transparent diplomatic feedback as appropriate.
