Industrial Engineer

Industrial Engineer plays an essential role in optimizing productivity and efficiency within a company. By conducting time studies and analyzing data, they can identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to streamline processes. Their attention to detail and analytical skills enable them to identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions, ultimately contributing to cost savings and increased productivity.

Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
Develop and maintain accurate time standards for various tasks and operations.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements related to time study and process improvement.
Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Provide training and guidance to employees on improved processes and time management techniques.
Utilize software tools and systems to track and monitor productivity metrics.
Conduct time studies and gather data on production processes to determine the most efficient methods and identify areas for improvement.
Analyze data collected during time studies to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas where productivity can be enhanced.
Collaborate with cross- functional teams, including production managers, engineers, and technicians, to develop and implement process improvement initiatives.
Design and implement work methods, procedures, and layouts to optimize workflow and minimize waste.

Education

Proficiency in time study software and tools is highly desirable.
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or any related field is a plus.
Proven experience in conducting time studies and implementing process improvement initiatives.
Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
Strong mathematical and statistical skills.

Experience & Knowledge of

Excellent time management and organizational skills to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast- paced and dynamic environment.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and production systems is preferred.
Detail- oriented and highly observant to accurately capture and document time study data.
Proficiency in time study methodologies, work measurement techniques, and process improvement tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross- functional teams and effectively convey ideas and recommendations.
Advanced knowledge of productivity software tools, such as Microsoft Excel or statistical analysis software (GSD, Basic Most, SPC…), to analyze data and generate reports.
Strong problem- solving abilities with a focus on delivering practical and efficient solutions.
