Objectives of position:
This position will help us in constant support and monitoring of the existing IT infrastructure. We are looking to enhance our capabilities related to Classic and Cloud Infrastructure by building 24/7 Global Infrastructure Reliability Team. The Infrastructure Reliability Engineer should have a good familiarity with modern infrastructure monitoring tools, should have experience in logs reading and root cause analysis. The person in this position should be familiar and have general understanding of VMware, AWS, Windows, Linux and Network technologies.
Your role & responsibilities
Essential functions:
- Monitoring (CheckMK) and log analysis with classic infrastructure (VMware based) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and network (Fortinet, Cisco)
- Proper triage of all alarms from monitoring and appropriate creation of incident tickets
- Act as 1st line support for all incoming infrastructure incidents
- Constant monitoring of all infrastructure tickets queues to classify and assign severity of all issues
- Basic troubleshooting infrastructure issues, service incidents, performance, and availability issues
- Close cooperation with 3rd party service providers
- Close cooperation with 2nd Line Infra Reliability Engineers, with SOC and Service Desk
- Creation of shift activity reports
- General reporting and RCA documentation
- Other duties assigned by supervisors
- Follow ISMS/ISO 27001, ISO20000, ISO14000 procedure, policies, and company regulations
- Other duties as assigned by IT Manager & Direct Manager
Your skills & qualifications
Knowledge, skills and abilities required to fill the job:
- 1+ years’ experience working as a Infrastructure Engineer or NOC Engineer or similar role
- Familiar with alerting and monitoring tools (CheckMK)
- Familiar with VMware, AWS, Windows, Linux and Network technologies
- Understanding ITIL framework and service management
- Experience with ticketing platforms
- Analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Familiar with incident reports
- Strong communication skills – internal customer focus
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
Work in shift: Mon-Tue (22h - 7h30), Fri (6h30-16g18), Sat, Sun (13h12 - 23h)
