Injection Molding Supervisor

Report To: Technical Manager
Job Responsibility
Department: Mold Tooling
• Reviews new & existing mold tooling issues with Tooling Engineers and Mold Maintenance.
• Work with Production to improve mold change over times eliminating all waste during the internal and external change over elements.
• Troubleshoots processing problems manufacturing has for quality issues including dimensional issues, flash, short shots, burn areas, flow marks & bubbles etc.
• Prepare and maintain documentation on preventative countermeasure activity to support cost reductions targets established by Management.
• Interact with production supervisor for scheduling and troubleshooting requirements.
• Develops, coordinates and troubleshoots the manufacturing process of plastic injection molding using polypropylene and PET.
• Performs mold verification, sample process development, mold changes and set up.
• Writes/updates mold condition tables, check sheets, operating standards and keeps master documents on file.
• Provides process direction to injection molding set up technicians.
• Assists in training mold maintenance staffs in the safe and proper usage of equipment and tooling.
• Develops the injection molding process for new tooling/mold. This includes all molding machine parameters.
• Review set-up sheet and process parameters to ensure quality standards are quality.
• Makes improvements to molding process to reduce cycle times to the lowest time possible without sacrificing part quality.
• Assure all health and safety requirements are observed and maintain work area and organized condition.
• Writes and maintains Molding Conditions for injection molding. Revises exiting check as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualification & Experience:
• 5 plus years of experience in an injection molding shop with emphasis on process problem solving.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from university in engineering / technical field.
• Mold Setup knowledge.
• Mold preventive maintenance, insert change, assembly-disassembly knowledge.
Skills (if required)
• Able to understand technical drawing for precision parts and components.
• Living in Long An province (Long Hau) is a positive point.
• Strict attention to safety procedures and guidelines including Groupe standard.
• Knowledge of software Auto CAD/Pro.
• Able to work with a team to accomplish company goals.
• English communication skills are required.
• Process working experience in plastic injection mold.
