Instrument & Automation Maintenance
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Instrumentation & Automation systems in upstream oil & gas facilities, including DCS, PLC, SCADA/MMI, SGS, and field instruments.
Ensure reliability and integrity of control and safety systems through effective maintenance activities.
Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance
Handle Breakdown Maintenance (BM) by identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions (RCA).
Execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) based on maintenance plans, historical data, and system condition analysis.
Maintain and troubleshoot:Hardware: PLC/DCS panels, control cabinets, transmitters, analyzers, valves, wiring loopsSoftware: control logic, database, configuration, interlock, sequence, and safety logic
Control & Safety System Support
Support testing, calibration, and functional checks of critical instruments and safety loops.
Maintain and support Process Control Systems (PCS) and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) to ensure compliance with upstream safety standards.
System Modification & Improvement
Modify, upgrade, and improve Instrument & Automation systems to enhance reliability, safety, and maintainability.
Improve:Control logic and sequencesInterlock and safety logicHMI graphics and alarm managementWiring loop diagrams and technical documentation
Shutdown, Turnaround & Revamp Support
Participate in Shutdown / Turnaround (SD/TA) and revamp activities, including preparation of manpower, tools, spare parts, and work procedures.
Support testing, commissioning, and reinstatement of systems after maintenance or shutdown activities.
Coordination & Vendor Interface
Coordinate with internal maintenance teams and other disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Process).
Liaise with vendors and service providers for technical support, spare parts, and specialist manpower during maintenance and turnaround activities.
Maintenance Data & Documentation
Collect and analyze maintenance data, including man- hours, failures, and spare part usage.
Provide technical input for continuous improvement and reliability enhancement.
Record maintenance activities, equipment history, and system modifications in the maintenance management system (CMMS).
Safety, Environment & Compliance
Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely under approved work permits and risk assessments.
Report hazards, near misses, incidents, and abnormal conditions to the supervisor.
Comply with HSE regulations, company procedures, and upstream oil & gas safety standards.
General Responsibilities
Perform other maintenance- related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Participate in reliability, integrity, and continuous improvement initiatives.
