IT Governance Officer

The IT Governance Officer will execute and maintain IT internal controls over processes in compliance with company standards. Monitors and troubleshoots together with the Cybersecurity team in threat detection. Oversees IT operational potential risks to deploy controls in place appropriately. Plans and executes remediations for risk findings. Assists the IT service delivery team with day- to- day work.
Key Responsibilities:

Investigates and works with end users to resolve any security breaches, which would be escalated to cyber cybersecurity team for technical issues if required.
Monitors and collaborates with the cyber team to ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
Reports monthly on device compliance status.
Monitors and reports on the protection of data lost through outbound email rules as well as hard disk encryption for compliance
Monitor and troubleshoot with the line manager and cybersecurity team or vendor on threat protection and cyberattacks.
Monitors and investigates phishing emails reported from staff, if it is required to block url/domain and/or email of the sender.
Processes quarterly access review and update with line managers and system owners.
Monitors and troubleshoots all failed/missed updates from weekly patching reports.
Works together with the cybersecurity team to conduct an IT internal Pentest with the vendor, then schedules with the line manager to remediate any findings with high or medium potential risks.
Work closely with Cyber Security and IT Operations teams to ensure governance alignment.
Maintains security policy up to date to make sure hardening policy is applied strictly on MacOS and Windows Devices as well as the logon policy standard.
Assists the line manager in deploying all security features where required.
Maintain and improve System Access management processes on the core system, such as MS Entra ID.
Maintains user matrix with roles and system access, together with engineering head advice that requires review and update yearly.

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft 365 portal.
Minimum three years of experience working in related areas, including software installation, policy deployment, patch updates, and troubleshooting in Windows & MacOS environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with scanning and endpoint tools (e.g., Endpoint Central, Cisco Secure Endpoint, Tenable.io/Nessus)
IT certifications (e.g., Network+, ITIL or Microsoft certifications).
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
Experience with internal and external IT audit
