Our client is currently seeking an experienced System Infrastructure Engineer to oversee various critical tasks within their banking network and system operations. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless functionality while adhering to rigorous information security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular vulnerability scans, install security patches, and execute remediation plans.
Prepare and submit periodic reports to Head Office, Management, and local authorities as necessary.
Maintain, enhance, and monitor all aspects of the banking network and system operations, including core banking systems, Windows applications, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VMWare systems, LAN networks, and peripheral devices.
Address system issues promptly and conduct preventive maintenance to uphold system integrity.
Manage hardware and software assets, coordinating with regional system divisions and outsourcing vendors for technical support.
Undertake additional tasks assigned by Management and direct manager.
Provide technical assistance to various bank departments and deliver information security training to users.
Supervise equipment and facilities in server rooms and disaster recovery offices.
Promptly report user problems and requests to the direct manager.
Manage internal and external networks to ensure optimal performance and security.
Administer user IDs for internal systems, conducting periodic reviews and access log audits as per regulatory requirements.
Lead the IT Helpdesk team and support team members as needed.
Qualifications:
Honest, flexible, and proficient in written and spoken English.
Strong problem assessment and troubleshooting skills.
Bachelor&039;s or Master&039;s degree in Computer Science or a related field. CCNA and/or MCSA certification is desirable.
Proficient in IT security principles for hardware and software.
Self- motivated and eager to learn, particularly in infrastructure, security, and banking domains.
Team- oriented mindset with a willingness to work under pressure.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT systems, with expertise in system infrastructure, network management, and PC/printers maintenance. Knowledge of core banking systems is advantageous.
Detail- oriented, organized, and logical thinker with multitasking abilities.
Excellent research skills and a knack for acquiring new technical knowledge.
