- To maintain a system error / progress log book and deals with reported problems.
- To recruit and select IT talents who can work within the decentralized management philosophy, following the financial, operational, and administrative philosophies outlined above, and who understand Wafaifo’s Culture.
- To be responsible to ensure that IT Audit points are implemented as per relevant Standard operating Procedures.
- To be aware of IT Security Policies and ensure implementation through regular talent training.
- To attend and contribute to all talent meetings, Departmental and Hotel Training as scheduled, and other related activities.
- To be responsible for the smooth functioning and coordination of vendors for Guest Internet, Property Management Systems- PMS, Point of Sale- POS, IPTV, Telephony systems and other software vendors.
- To have smooth ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
- To ensure the cleanliness of all data equipment and computer rooms.
- To be committed to delivering high levels of customer service.
- To have extensive knowledge of Active Directory, Management, and Implementations.
- To fully support the Departmental Training Function in the Department assigned.
- To understand and adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Wafaifo Talent Handbook.
- To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
- To prepare Policy & Procedures for the IT Department and for the user department.
- To be capable of doing Root Cause Analysis on a problem.
- To have strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including cabling, wireless networks, network switches, domain controller, Active Directory, firewall and VPN applications.
- To ensure anti- virus setup and day to day support.
- To be a self- starter, alert, energetic, responsible, and flexible.
- To prepare and submit relevant reports as request from Managing Director
- To conduct regular performance appraisals and give talents regular feedback on their job performance.
- To have a strong background in highly available systems and image capture/management systems.
- To be able to perform other IT or Systems related tasks assigned by the management.
- To have a good knowledge of server hardware, Disk storage technology, I/O devices.
- To identify and implement solutions to user challenges and concerns associated with the use of personal computer equipment.
- To be responsible for overseeing and handling network configuration, Servers, Workstations, Networking equipment, PABX, email accounts, and also support for the underlying server/desktop infrastructure.
- To prepare & implement Preventive Maintenance Schedule for all IT hardware & Software.
- To manage leadership in the establishment of project scope, technical strategy , cost, budget and talent support requirements with new IT initiatives.
- To understand the Network fundamentals, general network setup, and device configuration.
- To manage Disaster Recovery Process and ensure regular daily backup is taken.
- To keep updated with the latest hotel technology and security risks on a regular basis.
- To monitor and maintain a proper inventory of hardware and software licenses.
- To be skilled in the usage of system- level profiling tools and network monitoring systems to aid in application performance profiling.
- To respond courteously and efficiently to queries and problems from guests and system users.
