As IT Supervisor, you will be the key contact for all hotel technology systems — from setting up pre- opening infrastructure to ensuring daily operations run smoothly and securely. You will oversee all hardware and software systems, protect data integrity, support users, and drive innovation to enhance guest and colleague experiences.
Your Day to Day
Key Responsibilities
Pre- Opening & System Setup
• Coordinate with IHG’s regional IT and vendor partners to ensure systems are delivered, installed, and configured according to brand standards and project timelines.
• Develop and maintain documentation for IT infrastructure, cabling, network maps, and configuration details.
• Support other departments in implementing digital tools and systems for operational efficiency.
• Lead the pre- opening IT setup, including network design, system installation, and integration of IHG- approved applications and interfaces.
System Operations & Maintenance
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, repair schedules, and vendor support for all IT equipment.
• Conduct regular system backups, data protection, and security audits to meet IHG and PCI DSS standards.
• Monitor and manage the hotel’s IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware, software, and licenses.
• Oversee antivirus, firewall, and other cybersecurity measures to safeguard hotel systems.
• Ensure all systems (PMS, POS, accounting, back office, guest Wi- Fi, voicemail, key card system, and other hotel technologies) operate effectively and integrate seamlessly.
User Support & Training
• Act as the primary contact for all IT- related matters within the hotel.
• Provide day- to- day technical support and troubleshooting for colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
• Develop simple, user- friendly guides and conduct refresher training sessions when new systems or updates are introduced.
• Train hotel team members on system use, information security, and data protection policies.
Information Security & Compliance
• Maintain strict access control to critical systems, including user ID and password administration.
• Prepare for and respond effectively to IT audits, ensuring all action items are tracked and closed promptly.
• Manage system security, data backups, and business continuity plans.
• Implement and monitor hotel compliance with IHG IT Security policies and PCI DSS requirements.
Vendor & Budget Management
• Evaluate software and hardware proposals to ensure best value and compliance with standards.
• Manage IT vendor relationships, contracts, and maintenance agreements.
• Prepare IT budget forecasts, monitor expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost efficiency.
Leadership & Collaboration
• Support IT resource planning and training needs in coordination with HR and the management team.
• Promote a proactive and solution- oriented IT culture that supports hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain effective communication with hotel leadership and Area IT on system updates, risks, and improvement initiatives.
