IT System Administrator (JD-1223-033)

JOB SUMMARY
The post is responsible for the day- to- day operations of the IT activities in the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit – Ho Chi Minh City. He/she is also responsible for managing and optimizing the organization&039;s cloud infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of cloud- based systems, in particular the Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure platforms.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
SA Engineering and Provisioning
- Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure on platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
- Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions for IT operations
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources to ensure cost- effectiveness and performance.
Operations and Support
- Support IT Manager for management of IT assets in OUCRU to be used appropriately and available in the right places with good condition.
- Maintain encryption of all laptops and portable devices following the Information security policy and Encryption SOPs.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.
- Provide IT induction and appropriate computer training to OUCRU staff.
- Administer and maintain operating systems and software running on OUCRU Premise servers.
- Administer and maintain operating systems and software running on cloud instances.
Maintenance
- Collaborate with Other IT professionals in OUCRU HCM and suppliers to maintain servers, computers and related equipment.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
- Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
- Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.

HOURS OF WORK
Full time. 37.5 hours per week, extra hours may be required
TENURE
Initially for 01 year, including a 02 month probation period, with possibility of extension.

IT Manager

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Strong SA experience in network infrastructure, virtualization, Linux, Windows OS and cloud computing.
- Strong experience in Microsoft 365 administration and support
- Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft 365 applications such as Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and Microsoft Power platform.
- IELTS equivalent 5.0/ Fluent in English communications

- Contracted salary:
Grade: RS3/IC3
Salary ranges: $1,335- $1,626
- Other responsibilities and benefits are based on Viet Nam Labor Law.
- Annual leave 18 days/year for the first year, a maximum of 30 days
