Java AEM Lead

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• You’ll build a team of AEM experts, working closely with you. That team will be based over


• Vietnam and Australia.


• You’ll be delivering code and architecture for both the AEM backend and the AEM frontend


• You’ll collaborate closely with world class product, UX and marketing teams


• You’ll build excellent software, aiming to continuously deploy it, you’ll value quality and catching issues as early as possible via automated tests and pre-merge checks


• You will lead and coach engineers in your team to design and implement secure, scalable, and impactful solutions


• You’ll work at a senior level across the program team, collaborate with architects, engineers, and customer experience experts


• Self-organising your own priorities, you will facilitate rapid decision making for the team


• You’ll frame, support, and implement your own ideas, based on your technical knowledge and your understanding of business problems

REQUIREMENTS:

• You must have from 7 years of experience in demonstrable web or application development


• Your AEM knowledge should cover version 6.5 and the following aspects: Dispatcher configurations; AEM component development; OAK, JCR, Sling; AMS


• Proven experience working with JavaScript and Java 1.8, into an AEM context.


• Strong understanding of software engineering principles


• Ability to demonstrate UI design literacy and a solid understanding of WCAG Accessibility 2.0, Level AA or higher


• Experience with backend and frontend unit testing and familiarity with testing libraries


• Experience with setting up and working with CI/CD pipelines


• Good level of English proficiency, written and spoken

Good to have requirements:

• Experience using package and build management tools, as well as Docker container orchestration


• Experience working in internationally distributed teams
