Java Developer (Hotels)

Role Overview:As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend services. You will be working with modern tech stacks and collaborating closely with our development, infrastructure, and hospitality teams to deliver high- quality solutions that meet the needs of the hotel industry. Experience with Spring Boot, Postgres, GRPC, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Docker, and CICD processes is essential.
Key Responsibilities:

Work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases to design efficient data storage solutions and optimize queries.
Automate software deployment and release processes using CICD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
Participate in code reviews, maintain high- quality code, and adhere to industry best practices.
Develop and maintain Java- based backend applications using Spring Boot to support various hotel industry solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
Leverage Docker to create containerized environments for microservices.
Implement gRPC services for fast and efficient communication between distributed systems.
Collaborate with front- end developers, UX/UI designers, and cross- functional teams to implement new features.
Utilize Elasticsearch for managing and searching large datasets, ensuring high availability and scalability.

Continuously improve system performance and scalability for hotel operations and guest management systems.

Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend development.
Strong understanding of software development life cycle, version control (Git), and agile methodologies.
Familiarity with CICD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).
Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
Hands- on experience with Elasticsearch for indexing and searching large- scale datasets.
Knowledge of gRPC for building high- performance microservices.
Previous experience working in the hospitality or hotel management industry is a plus.
Excellent problem- solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast- paced environment.
Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB for database design and management.
2+ years of experience as a Java Developer.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team setting.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
Experience working with microservices architectures.

Exposure to front- end technologies (e.g., React, Angular) is a bonus but not required.
