We are looking for an Junior Android Engineer who is passionate about mobile development and eager to work on high- quality Android application. As a key contributor to our mobile engineering team, you will focus on delivering clean, efficient, and reliable code, working closely with other engineers, designers, and product managers. This role is ideal for an engineer looking to deepen their Android expertise and contribute to complex projects in a supportive environment.

This job refers to our Real Estate brands, and , the largest real estate portals in Switzerland, with more than 15 million visits per month and more than 100,000 listings. We provide all users looking for a property with a transparent overview of the entire range of listings without them having to tediously visit different platforms. In addition to great products such as the mortgage or price calculator, we also offer editorial articles on topics such as housing and financing.
Your Mission:

Continuously improve your skills and contribute to the team&039;s knowledge- sharing culture.
Learn and apply modern Android architecture patterns to build scalable features.
Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications, focusing on clean, maintainable code.
Help identify and fix bugs, optimize performance, and support releases under the guidance of more experienced team members.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to implement new features and enhancements.
Write Unit and UI tests with guidance to ensure code reliability.
Participate in code reviews, learn from feedback, and apply best practices to improve code quality.
Stay curious and up- to- date with Android development trends, tools, and best practices.

What will you bring to the ride?

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Fluency in English written and verbal communication.
1+ year of experience developing Android applications in Kotlin (Java is a plus).
Basic understanding of Android components and tools (e.g., Activities, Fragments, Android Studio).
Willingness to learn and apply best practices in mobile development, testing, and architecture.
Comfortable with consuming REST APIs and working with local storage (e.g., Room, SharedPreferences).
Some exposure to modern development practices such as MVVM, Jetpack components, or reactive programming is a plus.
Curious, open- minded, and enthusiastic about growing in a collaborative team environment.

Nice- to- Have Qualifications:

Familiarity with privacy, security, or accessibility in mobile apps.
Exposure to CI/CD, version control (e.g., Git), or test automation frameworks.
Awareness of mobile app performance and monitoring tools (e.g., Firebase, Datadog).
