We&039;re looking for a LEADER who can take the initiative to innovate on our art direction and push our aesthetics to the next level. Hence, this position needs a proactive and experienced candidate.
Your primary job as a lead graphic designer is to create and elevate the visual aesthetics of our 2 core brands (Patrick Dang & The Parallax). You will create visual content for all social media platforms (Youtube, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tiktok, Twitter) as well as other Online platforms (websites, podcasts, etc.) as the company continue to expand. Besides creating online content, you may take the initiative to create and improve all visual components of our brand (ex: set design, merchandise design, etc) Your work will be shown to a global audience, especially Western audience, across multiple platform/ mediums (online, print, physical products) for different purposes.
About The Role
The Parallax is a media company focused on educating and building a global community of Web3/NFT investors, builders, and creators. Started as a Youtube channel (now with 15,000 subscribers and growing), The Parallax will continue to expand its reach to various social media & Online platforms. The Parallax has partnered with many notable Web3 companies in South East Asia & USA and is continuing to extend its influence within the Web3/NFT space through content creation.
Core responsibilities of this role:
Master the ability to take any branded video content and re-purpose it into micro pieces of content for social media (graphics, quote cards, gifs, photos, stories, copy, clips, etc.)
Create daily YouTube thumbnails so engaging viewers can&039;t help themselves but to click.
Create and elevate the visual identity for our 2 core brands (Patrick Dang & The Parallax) across all social media pages & Online platforms.
Research current design trends in the market, identify areas for improvements in brand aesthetics.
Collaborate with our creative team to apply design problem solving and elevate our content&039;s aesthetics: YouTube videos, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Instagram Carousels, etc.
Create promotional posters for offline/online events hosted locally and globally.
Extract quotes from video content and write copy (in English) for social media quotes, captions, and adding text to images.
