Lead Machine Learning Engineer Python, MLOps, Spark

EPAM is seeking an experienced Lead Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team in Vietnam. This role involves building and maintaining our cutting- edge product recommender systems, with a strong focus on MLOps and optimizing machine learning algorithms. Your advanced technical skills and leadership will be crucial in driving the team towards success. This role offers opportunities for business travel to Hong Kong and the chance to lead innovative AI developments within the dynamic health and beauty industry.

Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to feed data into the recommendation systems
Stay up to date with the latest developments in data science and machine learning technologies and leverage them to improve the recommendation systems
Analyze and evaluate the performance of the recommendation systems and identify opportunities for improvement
Effectively collaborate with other data scientists and engineers to develop innovative machine learning solutions that drive business value
Coordinate with cross- functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Build and maintain our product recommender systems, with a focus on MLOps (e.g., deployment & performance monitoring) and optimizing machine learning algorithms in PySpark

Proficiency in both spoken and written English at B2 level and above is essential
Good understanding of software engineering and DevOps skills (Docker, Git, CI/CD, etc.)
Experience in Vector databases and building recommendation systems in an e- commerce environment is a plus
More than 6 years of experience in Machine Learning engineering and at least 1 year as a Lead Machine Learning Engineer
Familiarity with MLOps tools and techniques, such as model deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization
Knowledge of Azure cloud computing platforms (e.g., Blob storage, Databricks, etc.)
Strong experience in the Python programming language and Big data frameworks such as PySpark
Strong problem- solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
