POSITION OVERVIEW
The Legal & Compliance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that the company operates in full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for reviewing contracts, advising on legal matters, implementing compliance programs, and mitigating legal risks to protect the company&039;s interests.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES
• Audit Support: Assist in internal audits related to compliance matters and collaborate with external auditors as necessary.
• Reporting: Prepare reports for management on compliance activities, risk assessments, and any issues identified during audits or reviews.
• Other tasks assigned by the management.
• Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that company operations adhere to relevant laws, especially industry- specific regulations, and the Group’s policies.
• Legal Advisory: Provide legal advice, guidance and support to internal stakeholders on various legal matters, including contracts, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
• Document Review: Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents to ensure they meet legal standards and company policies and safeguard company interests.
• Training and Awareness: Organize training sessions for employees on compliance- related topics and promote awareness of legal obligations within the organization.
• Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes in legislation and regulatory requirements that may impact the organization, and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders.
• Licensing & Immigration Support: Responsible for obtaining and updating company licenses; support HR in acquiring entry visas and work permits for expatriates.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular assessments of compliance risks and recommend appropriate measures to mitigate identified risks.
• Development of Regulatory Documentation: Assist in developing and maintaining company policies and standard operating procedures.
