Legal Counsel (E-commerce & Telecommunication)

We are seeking a highly qualified Legal Counsel/ Senior Legal Counsel to manage the resolution of all in- house legal and compliance matters for Buymed’s EC platform & TMT sectors in Vietnam, with a high potential for exposure to the regional markets.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements; implement due diligence processes and activities within the country (or in the region) to enforce a structured approach to legal & compliance management.
Collaborate with the management and the Head of Legal and Compliance to devise and implement legal defensive or proactive strategies.
Manage and assure compliance with regard to reporting an post- license compliance for the platforms of the corporation.
Handle all legal matters for the EC platform & TMT sectors of the corporation in Vietnam; provide legal advice on operational matters, including regulatory compliance, e- commerce, telecommunication, media, and technology (TMT), healthcare and pharmaceutical laws and regulations.
Support the Head of legal and compliance in the management of key litigations/arbitrations (if any), interactions with external legal counsels, and represent the country in key legal proceedings to ensure the company’s interests are well protected.
Give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics (labor law, partnerships, corporate finance, etc.).
Draft, review, revise, and manage various types of contracts, and support business teams in contract negotiation.
Review and lead the reporting of key findings related to existing and potential legal risks, including recommendations to mitigate risks from an operational perspective.

Excellent communication in both Vietnamese and English and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor’s degree of law (or above).
Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies.
Strong understanding of the laws of Vietnam, especially the e- commerce & TMT sectors- relevant laws, regulations, and best market practices; familiarity with international laws and regulations that might impact the corporation.
Have strong analytical and problem- solving skills.
Proven legal counsel having a minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, with a combination of at least 2 years of experience in the law firm & at least 2 years of experience in e- commerce & TMT sectors (either law firm or in- house environment), preferred (not compulsory) to have the experience healthcare/pharmaceutical.
Sound judgment and ability to analyze situations and information.
Full comprehension of the influences of the external environment of a corporation.
