Licensing matters
• Coordinate with relevant departments to solve arising problems/ issue related to the necessary permits/approvals for the new store opening and store operation.
• Ensure compliance with the regulations of competent authorities on all kinds of licenses necessary for the operation of Jollibee stores.
• Lead contact point and coordinate with units and departments to apply/ obtain for all kinds of permits/ approval for the store operation, including but not limited to: Business License; Advertisement Approval/license; Certificate of food safety; environmental registration, fire prevention and fighting records, wastewater connection license.
Store Support
• Contacting and working with competent state agencies, service provider and other third parties.
• Working with the stores to develop legal awareness, facilitating training, provide legal advice, guidance, and maintaining legal standard and compliance with applicable laws.
• Coordinating with relevant departments to solve arising problems related to the necessary permits/approvals for the store operation
• Being a key contact point to resolve arising issues related to the necessary licenses/approvals for the new store opening and store operation
• Monitoring progress, ready to support and advise other units and departments on procedures for applying permits/license/ approval.
Legal risk and Contract Review
• Ensure that all contract templates, checklists are maintained, updated, and properly implemented to mitigate recurring risks
• Provide and interpret legal information to relevant divisions/ departments, keeping them updated with legal issues
• Advise relevant divisions/ departments on appropriate courses of action for legal protection and risk management, especially on contract management
• Review on supplier documents, ongoing cases and other documentation to identify legal risk
Regulatory compliance
• Prepare monthly compliance summaries and legal updates for submission to the Senior Legal Manager
• Ensuring the compliance status of the company towards the laws including conducting periodical investment reports
• Assist in conducting legal training sessions
Supporting other deparments
• Assist in dispute resolution or legal proceedings by coordinating with relevant departments and external counsel when required.
• Support adhoc Projects/ Tasks of the Company as assigned by the Senior Legal Manager from time to time.
• Support management and cross- functional teams in identifying and resolving potential legal issues in advance, promoting a culture of compliance, goodwill, and risk prevention.
• Provide legal support and constructive guidance to other departments with a spirit of goodwill and collaboration, ensuring that all activities comply with internal company policies and applicable laws
