Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating the purchase of drug & medical supplies from suppliers for hospitals.
General Responsibilities
Manage supplier relationships and maintain a supplier database.
Perform due diligence assessment and complete the onboarding process for all suppliers.
Coordinate with hospital departments to determine their supply needs.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are usually required.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure cost- effective procurement of drug & medical supplies.
Oversee the purchasing activities of a company including sourcing goods and services, negotiating with suppliers, managing contracts, and ensuring that the organization obtains high- quality products at the best prices. Additionally, they may be involved in vendor management, cost control, and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
Support Procurement Director in the execution of Category sourcing strategy to deliver improved efficiency (value) and effectiveness (Quality to key Business functions), with a key focus on Trade procurement.
Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand for services and products.
Develop procurement strategies that align with the company’s needs.
Functional Skills And Knowledge
Strong Analytical skills negotiation abilities and proficiency in Procurement Software and Procurement Process.
Knowledge of medical equipment and supplies.
Excellent at English and presentation skills.
At least two years of experience in a similar position with the same responsibilities.
High Integrity.
BA degree in a related fields such as business, SCM or finance…
Experience with hospital tendering and procurement processes.
Demonstrated experience in procurement, especially in a hospital environment.
Proficient in Excel and skilled in creating presentations.
Excellent at customer service skills and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work effectively under high pressure.
Education
Degree or professional qualification in Business Administration, Finance or related fields....
