Your role & responsibilities
- Review and analyze system specifications
- Collaborate with Devs to develop effective strategies and test plans
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
- Evaluate product code according to specifications
- Create logs to document testing phases and defects
- Report bugs and errors to development teams
- Help troubleshoot issues
- Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Your skills & qualifications
- At least 4 years of working experience in manual testing
- Can communicate in Japanese (N2 up)
- Knowledge of QA testing methodologies and the test lifecycle
- Experience working with bug management systems (i.e. JIRA, Mantis, etc.)
- Understanding of how websites and mobile applications are developed and function
- Ability to clearly communicate software issues and behavior to development, product management, operations
- Has in-depth knowledge in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines
- Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions
- Works independently; receives minimal guidance
- May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- May represent the level at which career may stabilize for many years or even until retirement.
