- Lead the implementation of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Demonstrate strong leadership qualities, including the ability to direct and interact effectively with Suppliers, Customers and Teammembers.
- Identify and address manufacturing difficulties to ensure smooth operations (Supplier Quality, Incoming Quality (IQC), In- Process Quality (IPQC), Final Quality(FQC) and Customer Quality).
- Resolve manufacturing bugs within specified timeframes to minimize disruptions under In- process and final Quality stages.
- Facilitate timely creation of bugs for manufacturing issues and coordinate root cause analysis.
- Bridge communication between design and manufacturing teams for efficient implementation of design changes and ensure them at Supplier end.
- Collaborate with cross- functional teams to address manufacturing bugs and provide inputs for problem- solving.
- Exposure to setting up a lab for Incoming Quality for EV vehicle components (Ex: Vehicle, Battery, Motor, Fabrication Frames etc..,).
- Work towards achieving a Scrap Rate less than 5% and SPR greater than 95% on both Battery, Vehicle, Motor and Frame fabrication production lines.
- Foster a positive work environment, resolve conflicts, and maintain composure under pressure.
- Uphold standards, manage tasks effectively, and pursue goals with a focus on producing quality output.
- Possess expertise in Fit & Finish, IPQC, PFMEA, FMEA, Internal Auditing, PPAP, Problem Solving Analysis, 8D Analysis, 7 QC Tools, and Statistical Process Control.
- Develop and maintain a skill matrix associated with the role to ensure effective performance.
- Implement containment actions to prevent recurrence of manufacturing issues.
- Drive projects to improve manufacturing KPIs and participate in daily planning meetings.
- Identify and implement new strategies for ensuring the Supplier end Quality.
- Implement measures to capture defects at the incoming stage to prevent line disruptions.
- Represent the Manufacturing Quality Assurance team in change control board meetings.
- Proactively work towards Customer Quality to reduce field issues and scrap costs by implementing check points based on manufacturing and field issues.
- Review issue log’s and rejection batches to identify areas for improvement.
