Position Overview:
Our client is in search of dedicated individuals who excel in propelling product development forward in manufacturing settings. As a Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will collaborate closely with Engineering, Platform Design, CM Partners, and CA personnel, alongside other integral business functions. Job Responsibilities:
Contribute to project teams engaged in hardware specification, design, development, and testing.
Formulate Manufacturing test plans based on hardware and platform functional specifications.
Oversee the procurement and deployment of testing infrastructure to facilitate new and ongoing product initiatives.
Provide comprehensive support for test engineering infrastructure.
Perform functions related to new product testing and ongoing maintenance.
Develop and execute test scripts utilizing scripting languages, with a preference for Python.
Support the advancement of new product development and ensure design for test excellence.
Participate in Defect Reduction Team activities to identify and resolve product issues.
Create web GUI interfaces for production test infrastructure and conduct data mining using Web frameworks like Django and databases such as mysql.
Drive improvements in test yield and overall manufacturing efficiency.
Contribute to refining the engineering design verification process to minimize design defects.
Evaluate and integrate new test technologies to enhance technical capabilities.
Enhance manufacturing operations test processes to optimize efficiency, consistency, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure Manufacturing teams receive necessary product training.
Collaborate with various stakeholders including Engineering, Platform Engineering, Marketing, TAC, and CM Partners.
Mentor contract manufacturing test engineers and debug technicians in hardware troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
Familiarity with manufacturing, test, quality, and reliability best practices.
Familiarity with Linux system administration, software revision control (Perforce), and software distribution (RPM).
Exceptional proficiency in complex system- level debugging and root cause analysis.
Possess 7- 10+ years of experience in Manufacturing Test/Sustaining Engineering.
Proficient in developing and implementing test scripts using Python.
Demonstrated ability to develop Manufacturing test plans based on hardware and platform functional specifications.
Knowledgeable in Design for DFx principles: DFT, DFM, DFQ, DFR, DFC.
Hold a BS or MS degree in a relevant field.
Thorough understanding of networking products, particularly related to routing, switching, and data center environments.
Expertise in developing web- based GUI interfaces for production test infrastructure and data mining, preferably with experience in Web frameworks like Django and databases like mysql.
