OBJECTIVE:
Ensure the efficient and effective management of the Department’s equipment & systems
Assist in planning & initiating programs and activities that support the marketing objectives of the Hotel
MAIN DUTIES:
Daily tasks:
Assist in conducting hotel inspections when required.
Assist DOM to maintain a systematic and proactive channel of communication with the various local and national press and related media via formal and informal meetings, press release of Hotel news and related events, the creation of relevant story lines to generate interest.
Assist DOM to prepare contracts and follow up the payments process.
Keep detailed files and records on all matters relative to property’s marketing materials (photo usage rights, vendor contract…).
Assist DOM to all arrangements with photographers on assignments at the hotel.
Assist DOM to evaluate new marketing and partnership opportunities for the hotel.
Ensures consistent marketing message is communicated in all advertising and collateral efforts.
Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Director of Sales & Marketing or Director of Marketing Communications.
Assist in a public relations related activities by initiating press visits to the hotel, preparation of invitations, press kits, or giving support to any department of the hotel.
Assist submitting monthly required reports such as clipping report, Marcom event report…
Assist DOM to develop brochure and property collateral materials.
Assist Rooms Department to prepare and ensure all collaterals in the hotel are complete, current and well- presented.
Assist Director of MarCom (DOM) in maintaining and updating hotel database, including Media database.
Assist to preparing all promotional literature and publications of the Hotel including their presentation and effective distribution.
Assist DOM in making plans on an annual basis a program of activities based on established budgets to reach specific target audiences in support of marketing, sales, spa & fitness and F&B activities including but not restricted to, the coordination of photography, advertising, and newsletter, employee relations and community relations.
Financial and Revenue Responsibilities
Provide advertising report to Finance Department at the end of every month
Assist DOM to check monthly expenses.
Training and Human Resources
Ensure wherever possible that employees are provided with a work place free of discrimination, harassment and victimisation.
Treat complaints of harassment and discrimination promptly and confidentially.
Treat customers and colleagues from all cultural groups with respect and sensitivity.
Identify and deal with issues which may cause cross cultural conflict or misunderstanding.
Assist DOM in training to junior marketing staff (if applicable)
Miscellaneous
All associates are required to comply with every reasonable request from their hierarchical supervisor(s) within an amount of time that it takes to comply under normal circumstances.
All associates may be assigned to other duties in the hotel as and when required by business levels.
Assist related departments with artworks or works relating to external communications such as staff newsletters, photo shootings, artworks for internal/ external activities, etc
