This position is responsible for all aspects of Materials Management Activity and coordinates with Corp SCM on Program Sourcing, Commodity Sourcing and IDM Sourcing functions in VN site.
Material Management:
Develops materials planning staff to insure maximum team work, and technical capability in executing daily planning and control responsibilities.
Monitors program launches, and product changes. Implements countermeasures and adjusts planning systems to avoid any line down.
Leads material handling, warehouse operations, inventory control activity to ensure efficient material movement, storage, and accurate inventory records.
Transportation & Shipping management. Cost control of the logistics operations.
Inventory levels monitoring, pro-activity in solutions to minimise inventory
Customs declaration. Manages import and export logistics to comply with local rules and regulation.
Manages the capacity plans and identifies out of balance line capacity. Recommends adjustments to insure optimal throughput and cost efficiencies.
Directs the accurate and timely update of the SAP MPS/MRP system to support weekly and daily production and supply chain scheduling.
Manages the weekly and daily dispatch schedule, and maintains priorities to achieve 100% customer on-time deliveries, and production throughput efficiencies.
Sourcing:
Monitor suppliers&039; performance and evaluate the reliability of the suppliers, products quality, on-time delivery and technology.
Comply to the company sourcing policies and code of conducts.
Implement supply base benchmarking based on principle of total cost of ownership, regular assessment and review of suppliers&039; performance.
Support Program Sourcing Team, Commodity Sourcing Team and IDM Sourcing Team in Vietnam.
Transfer smoothly sourcing activities from NPI, ramp up to mass production.
Develop effective supply chain strategy and drive for cost savings to meet the Vietnam business growth;
Achieve price reduction targets by proactive development and implementation of price reduction strategies.
Assist SCM head to drive and sustain continuous improvements in SCM processes.
Participate in project team to ensure project progress is being properly managed in the areas of ESI, NPI and material availability.
Common:
Leads development of goals and objectives for the department to develop team work, motivation, performance metrics, and align with overall strategies.
Comply with the superior instruction, cooperate assigned team work schedule.
Be responsible for his/her signatures on functional documents and/or electronic signature on functional documents and/or system documents including without limitation supplier’s quotations, specifications, quality certificates, audit paper, goods or service receiving or acceptance etc. Any supervisors’ endorsement or signature will not release him/her from any negligence, omission or mistake.
