Mechanical Commissioning Engineer

Commissioning & sea trial
- Participate during sea trials phase, record functioning of the vessels and solve issues that may arise.
- Check, support and coordinate the activity of Suppliers during commissioning phase.
- Report testing data in HAT/SAT documents as well as improvement points/standardisation through engineering and PFL.
- Prepare the safety equipment & trial boxes on board before trial of vessels.
- Check/ verify ship systems and installed equipment on board. Use commissioning protocol and applicable engineering information.
- Check installation, set up, operate and finish testing programs following HAT/SAT protocols for systems on board.
Ensure a timely and correct completion of the commissioning report and presentation to the Class of several systems. .
Production supporting
Support production by providing improvement proposals to the Engineering department.
Commissioning Reporting
- Support in system completion before delivery of vessels. Realise an effective planning during commissioning period.
- Consult with the local manager and/or production manager.
- Intervene with planning in the case of deviations.
- Monitor production progress, signal delays and determine consequences on the commissioning planning.
Control trial equipment & commissioning tools
- Control enough trial equipment & maintain it regularly.
- Manage the commissioning tool & keep it in good condition.
Technical guiding of colleagues and/or hired workers
Provide technical instructions to added employee(s) and/or hired workers and the training of a client. Explain the work activities, answer questions and solving issues are the most important tasks.
Inspection & running test all equipment & ship’s system follow the maintenance plan. Solve issues arise on board & report to the leader if difficult issues.
Maintenance of stock vessel
Observe the company- and work regulations (including quality, safety, and environment)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Completed engine operation course or electrical engineering
College/ University in Engineering discipline
Experience:
Shipbuilding experience
3- 5 years commissioning experience at other shipyard or sailing as the chief engineer/ 1st engineer for international shipping company.
