Mechanical Engineer

Produce working drawings, detailed drawings and bills of materials for equipment, sub- assemblies or products using Solidworks.
Liaise with vendors, fabricators, machinists, toolmakers and electricians for technical information and specifications, completion of equipment and resolving problems.
Creating detailed drawings, schematics, and technical documentation using SolidWork software.
Communicating effectively with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams, to convey design concepts, progress updates, and project milestones.
Analyze designs and systems for compliance to applicable standards (i.e. OSHA, CE, SEMI or customer specific)..
Capable of traveling for on- site support, system bring up, troubleshooting etc...
Collaborating with cross- functional teams, including engineers, architects, and project managers, to ensure design integrity and compatibility with overall project goals.
Designing mechanical components, systems, or products according to project requirements and specifications.

Education

A diploma or degree in mechanical design, mechanical engineering or equivalent

Experience

At least 3 years in Mechanical design/drafting.

Knowledge & Skills

Must be proficient in MS office.
Must be capable of working as part of a team.
An understanding of the use of electrical devices. (I.e. switches, load cells, PLC, etc.)
Must be proficient in Solidworks or experience in other 3D CAD software.
An understanding of the use of pneumatics and hydraulics.
A working knowledge of common machine shop techniques.
Must have a thorough knowledge of drafting principles.
Must be capable of designing tooling from sketches or verbal concepts.
Must be able to communicate English at intermediate level.
