Mechanical Engineer Team Leader

Support sales by demonstrating product applications based on customer requirements. Travel with the sales manager may be required.
Develop testing processes and perform testing and validation of new designs.
Perform engineering calculations to support design work.
Manage day- to- day activities of the mechanical design team, including task assignment, workload distribution, and resource planning.
Collaborate with multi- disciplinary engineering teams and work with vendors and contractors.
Perform detailed documentation to track project development and the design process.
Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software.
Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new products.
Monitor team performance, provide guidance and technical direction, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Ensure high- quality deliverables by implementing design standards, review processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Generate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstration.
Act as the primary point of contact between the team and upper management regarding project status, technical challenges, and team needs.
Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, supporting skill development and training of junior engineers.
Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure alignment with company goals and technical strategies.
Ensure the project timeline is met and the project stays within budget.

Preferably born between 1993 and 1996, with more than 4 years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related technical field.
Skilled in resource allocation and workload balancing across team members to optimize performance.
Strong understanding of core mechanical engineering concepts, with hands- on experience in designing mechanical systems and products.
Strong technical reasoning skills and the ability to quickly evaluate and resolve engineering problems.
Bachelor’s or Engineer’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem- solving skills with the ability to apply advanced mathematical and statistical principles to technical challenges.
Capable of driving cross- functional collaboration between engineering, R&D, production, and sales teams.
Competent in risk assessment, decision- making, and handling unexpected technical issues during the design and development process.
Experience in reporting technical progress, team updates, and project risks to senior management.
Demonstrated experience in managing engineering teams, including task planning, performance evaluation, and technical guidance.
Solid project management capabilities: able to organize team efforts, monitor timelines, and ensure goals are achieved within budget and scope.
