THE ROLE
We are seeking a Merchandising & Operations Executive to join our team at August Berg. This role focuses on assisting in merchandising, supply chain management, 3PL (Third- Party Logistics) management, order fulfillment, key account management (KAM) support, and customer service. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast- paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY:
Merchandising and Supply Chain:
• Assisting in managing the supplier portfolio, including price negotiation, contract management, and performance evaluation.
• Assisting in sourcing new suppliers to optimize inventory and stock turnover.
• Coordinate with regional teams on order placements, shipment dispatches, and delivery schedules.
• Plan stock levels and order inventory to maximize warehouse capacity.
• Conduct regular assortment reviews and make recommendations on inventory management.
3PL Management and Order Fulfillment:
• Continuously optimize fulfillment processes to meet customer expectations.
• Oversee 3PL partnerships to ensure efficient logistics and timely deliveries.
• Resolve order discrepancies, shipping delays, and customer complaints promptly.
• Monitor and improve order fulfillment processes for accuracy and efficiency.
Key Account Management (KAM) Support and Customer Service:
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any service issues.
• Support KAM in executing merchandising strategies and order management.
• Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to enhance customer experiences.
• Collaborate with key accounts to understand and meet their requirements.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Analyze purchasing and sales data to identify trends and forecast demand.
• Generate ad- hoc reports as required.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to support decision- making.
• Prepare regular KPI reports and provide actionable insights.
Relationship Management:
• Communicate effectively with cross- functional teams to coordinate activities and resolve issues promptly.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the Merchandising Manager and Key Account Manager, to align purchasing and sales strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and sustainable supply chain.
• Liaise with the Sales team to understand customer requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
