Merchandising Manager

Planning & Strategy
- Be responsible to fill capacity evenly across the year through customer ability and liaising.
- Yearly Planning: Work with BOD and senior management to set and finalize yearly output/revenue plan at top level.
- Critical customers Management & tracking: Once yearly / quarterly plans are set that will follow the customer’s critical path to ensure orders are placed on time and in line with factory availability.
Development & Customers Relationship:
- Discuss with each customer prior to this in preparation to assist with accurate planning
- Ensure all pre-production arrange (sample time and material status) to fill enough docket (garment can cut for bulk) to fill capacity of factory and achieve buyer shipment date.
- Problem solving to create a plan that meets the needs of the customer whilst also ensuring the plan is realistic and fits the capabilities and capacity of the factory
- Following up on the yearly planning set with BOD
- Communicating with to the factory if a customer has broken the plan and solve issue together with client manager to be sure customer shipment date.
- Controlling together with the client regarding Margin/ budget of all customer which set by BOD
- Making all evaluate, submit KPI result of Merchandising department to BOD.
- Working with the Client Team if there will be problems with the set plan affect to factory or Customer.
Orders Management
- Order tracking and management: once orders are placed assist merchandisers in their critical path planning and make sure exit dates and delays are informed to the customer at the earliest possible time.
- Inter department forecast planning: Review planning with various department and propose where possible pre-planning of raw materials and line space to continuously pursue for constant production whilst avoiding where possible unnecessary risk to the company.
- Pre & After costing tracking and management: responsible for the pre and after costing tracking of all orders and has the authority over the merchandisers for this task.
- Supporting & Problem Solving: within this industry problems should be expected, pick out, analyze, review and come up with a suitable solution for the day to day problems that arise to have best result for company and balance with customers.
- Join in weekly meetings with General / factory / print / fabric managers together to inform them of potential changes to the plan and reinforce time lines and customers required dates.
Workforce Management
- Training the senior and junior merchandisers; outline where the weaknesses of each member of staff lie and offer guidance and training where possible to get every staff to a higher grade of understanding.
- Resource allocation management : be responsible for assigning which merchandisers work on which brands and that staffing levels within their department are keep sufficient whilst at the same time within Depart. Salary budget.
- Manage & solve problems occur in the department and other related matters with Merchandizing Dept.
Other tasks assigned by BOD

- Having negotiation and Time management skills
- Having experience in the garment/manufacturing industry.
- Well organized, well versed in planning and systems operation, and be able to set up and follow deadlines and schedules with ease.
- Approachable, well-mannered and be able to deal with stress in a calm and collected manner.
- Understand garments and the componentry behind the business, have a working knowledge of fabrics/trims/production.
- Fluent English is a must
