JOB PURPOSE:
A Sales Modern Trade Manager is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to grow the company&039;s business in the modern trade channel. This includes managing relationships with key accounts, negotiating contracts, and developing and implementing promotional programs. Sales Modern Trade Managers also work closely with other departments, such as marketing, logistics and other functions, to ensure that the company&039;s products are available and well- positioned in modern trade stores as well as in ensuring we provide best- in- class customer service to key accounts and that all customer deliveries are achieved on time and in full, avoiding penalties from customers.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve the company&039;s growth targets in the modern trade channel. Initiate new ideas and projects that lead to delivering company volume objectives.
- Develop and implement promotional programs to drive sales and increase brand awareness.
- Ensure that programs implemented are within the authorized parameter set in the TOT and will remain profitable.
- Implement and develop sales strategies and operational plans including distribution (listing,…), visibility (planogram, gondola, displays,...), activation (sampling,…), and promotions.
- Ensure that strategies proposed and implemented are aligned with the company’s guidelines, procedures, and policies.
- Benchmark best practices in the market maintain familiarity with current trends for Modern trade and define plans on how modern trade operations should adapt to the ever- changing needs of the market.
- Lead regular business reviews with the customer to review performance, and propose initiatives to drive volume and profitability, to the benefit of both the company and the customer.
- Analyze market trends and identify new opportunities for growth.
- Ensures the presence and preference of company brands on the market by establishing promotional plans and monitoring their implementation.
- Monitor sales performance and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Need to continuously think of ways to improve the Modern trade function in the country to deliver growth to the business and the people.
- Manage relationships with key accounts and negotiate contracts.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision- makers at modern trade retailers.
- Oversees the trading terms Agreement, the commercial contract negotiation process
- Develop sales and marketing strategy for national key account.
- Anticipates expenses and seeks opportunities to maximize budget deliver savings from expenses and provide higher profitability.
- Lead and motivate a team of sales representatives.
- Maintain and improve market share.
- Ensure that all programs implemented are within the established budget, to achieve overall profitability.
- Develop & Design the objectives setting, sales forecast / target for all key accounts with Managing Director.

- Provide leadership and manage motivate and control key account sales force to ensure they have the qualities, abilities, skills desired and determination to performance their job functions with a level of productivity that ensures the customers’ satisfaction and company plan / expectation.

Manage budget and allocation; ensure that no overspending occurs.
