MOLD DESIGNER

Mold Design and Development:

Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and assemblies for molds, ensuring compliance with design specifications and manufacturing requirements.
Incorporate features such as cooling channels, ejector systems, and parting lines into mold designs.
Design and develop molds for injection molding, die casting, or other manufacturing processes using Siemens NX.

Collaboration and Communication:

Communicate with suppliers and vendors to resolve design and manufacturing issues
Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to optimize mold designs.
Work closely with product designers, engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure molds are designed for manufacturability (DFM).

Design Optimization:

Perform simulations and analyses (e.g., flow analysis, cooling analysis) to validate mold designs.
Troubleshoot and resolve design issues during prototyping and production.
Optimize mold designs to improve performance, reduce cycle times, and minimize material waste.

Documentation and Standards:

Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including design specifications, bill of materials (BOM), and technical drawings.
Update designs based on feedback from prototyping, testing, and production.
Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, customer requirements, and company guidelines.

Experience with mold flow analysis software (e.g., Moldflow) is a plus
Strong knowledge of mold design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
3+ years of experience in mold design, preferably in injection molding or die casting.
Proficiency in Siemens NX (or similar CAD software) for 3D modeling and drafting
