RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivery the customer’s design request to product designer, work with product designer at the program design stage to make sure the design meet with the standard and make improvement by Kaizen.
In conjunction with the PDT members is responsible for assuring that a complete part submission is made on or before the required customer date.
Establish and maintain a good working relationship, throughout the program, with internal team members and external customers. Customers include – sales, design, engineering, and launch teams.
Attend Customer builds as requested.
Create Tool Layout and request supplier to design Molds based on Tool Layout. After finishing Mold design, attend Mold Design Review with TE and make design change to make sure it is productive.
Completes Engineering Change Request for all changes that impact tooling and/or product pricing and works within the program budget.
Maintain documentation on all program activity. Evidence of activities to be kept in SharePoint. Provide the latest data and/or drawings to tooling sources and document control. Analyze all drawings to assure compliance to all specifications.
Participate in the mold trial run at mold Factory. Confirm the mold structure and process setting, make sure the product meets the dimension and the appearance requirement.
DV/EV testing responsibility per DVP&R, Submit the testing request to the Lab. Work with Lab for parts testing and improve the product to meet the requirement.
Responsible for assuring that all materials, parts and products supplied are on time and meet all customer requirements from prototypes thru production PPAP.
Support for program integration into SPI Manufacturing, including part design, tool design and function, manufacturing plan, gage design and function, secondary tooling and design function and packaging.
Responsible for prototype mold builds and the on- time availability of prototype parts.
Provides support and attend the whiteboard meetings.
Provides the Lead in technical, product quality, GD&T development reviews with the customer. Inputs saving suggestions for the customer’s VA/VE reviews.
REQUIREMENTS:
Technical knowledge and ability requirements:
Decision making abilities.
Pass Machine Reasoning Test in 80% correctness.
Knowledge of plastic parts decoration methods
Knowledge of injection molding operations.
Knowledge of plastic parts assembly methods.
Pass Wonderlic score of 20 or greater.
English Skill
Experiences:
2 years in manufacturing area
Education:
Engineering degree or certificate of completion of studies. Bachelor’s degree related to area of responsibility.
