Conduct pre-operational / periodic risk assessments of new / existing work locations and contribute to the risk mitigation initiatives
▪ Implementation of the relevant Group HSE Standards (includes PPE) with direct engagement with the respective site team

▪ Ensure adherence to the requisite legal/Statutory compliances at sites involving the line organization
▪ Ensure the necessary emergency preparedness at the respective sites -
▪ Coordinate with the site teams to monitor and improve their HSE performance
▪ Inspect / monitor the site activities particularly during the difficult or hazardous work situations

▪ Ensure that the site crews, contractors and site visitors receive proper HSE inductions and necessary training to perform their job safely
▪ Monitor all H&S KPIs, share H&S indices with the site teams and ensure continual improvement through utilization of various HSE tools, such as -
▪ In case of accident / DO, lead the respective site team to ensure compliance with 8D PPS method

▪ Continuous up gradation of knowledge on various application processes of FC & AR
▪ Preparation of weekly and monthly HSE reports, statistics related to HSE performance

Qualifications:
BE / B Tech (Mechanical / Electrical)
Professional Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety / Industrial Safety Engineering would be an added advantage.
Experience:
5 - 7 years of hands on experience in managing HSE practices in multiple manufacturing processes / service locations with proven delivery track records.
Knowledge:
▪ Sufficient information or knowledge of Behavioural Safety, Occupational Health.
▪ Broad understanding of Vesuvius products and application processes at customer locations is of advantage.
▪ Specialized knowledge and thorough understanding of Statutory Compliances linked to the HSE practices.
▪ In-depth understanding of concepts and principles of Occupational Safety, Risk Management & Mitigation
▪ Basic understanding of customer processes – Iron & steel making.
▪ Broad understanding of Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics.
Skills & Behaviour:
▪ Ability to interact at various levels (from VIL contractual workmen upto Mid / Senior Management of customer and VIL)
▪ Ability to coordinate with teams based at multiple locations
▪ Strong Analytical skill
▪ Disciplined Approach
▪ High level of Customer service orientation
▪ Ability to work and deliver within the complexity of matrixed organization

The position is exposed to multiple challenges with varying complexity and some of the key challenges are as follows –
▪ Implementation / delivery of HSE strategy at the customer locations across India with the support of the regional Sales organization and HSE network.
▪ Strong emphasis on rigorous process discipline
▪ Motivate and drive Account Managers, LUHs towards the achievement of specific HSE targets.
▪ Working under a matrix reporting structure
