JOB TITLE : BELLMAN
REPORTS TO : concierge Captain- DM- FOM
DEPARTMENT : Front Office
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To check and ensure newspaper distribution list is made properly.
To escort the guest to their room and help them with their luggage, to instruct the guest on all room facilities. Ex: minibar, elsafe, TV, phone…
To report immediately any potential health, safety or security hazards to immediate supervisor on duty or to Security.
To ensure all luggage are tagged properly and put neatly into the baggage room.
Responsible for the correct handling, collection, delivery, storage of guest luggage.
To ensure working equipment (trolley….) are operational.
To read log book when beginning the shift and effectively communicate with next shift through the correct usage of the log book.
To assist security with the maintaining of correct conduct within the hotel.
To be well present, neat and tidy, wearing uniform conform to standard said in staff Handbook.
To ensure all guests requirement are met efficiently and always with smile.
To be responsible for updating any change in flight schedule, time of airport sendoff request as well as Shuttle bus booking schedule for Driver well preparation
To ensure that public areas always kept clean: Lobby, Concierge, tables and chairs in Lobby area.
Responsible for the prompt location of the guest through the bell board.
To maintain the image of PARKROYAL Saigon: be polite, friendly, helpful, enthusiastic, on time…
To ensure the fire drill procedure of Concierge dept is correctly implemented. In case of fire, to act as Fire officer for firefighting or evacuation of staff, guest, document, assets.
To ensure there is always at least one staff at main door to greet & welcome guest.
To actively promote the hotel transportation service first. Then if guest refuse and ask for taxi, to organize taxi for guest.
To be familiar with tourist attractions, entertainment areas, hotel happenings in order to answer and assist guests effectively.
To check and ensure the guest list & event to be updated.
To check and ensure the flags are hoisted and in good condition.
To help guest with communication with taxi driver.
To watch carefully on luggage of guest when there is group check out.
To check arrival list daily and flight schedule for sending Driver to airport to welcome expected guests who have reservation with PARKROYAL Saigon.
To follow carefully all records of fax, emails, message / parcel / fax / delivery procedure.
To ensure all guests are greeted and welcome in the most professional way and all guest requirements are met efficiently.
To attend all meetings and training seminars as required by the Department.
To be fully conversant about all the hotel facilities, the services, all types of rooms.
