STEAM for Vietnam is currently seeking Teaching Assistants (TA) for the STEAMese Festival 2024 to support the development and operation of the first course to provide world- class trained teachers to bring free STEAM education to millions of Vietnamese children worldwide.
Note: This is an unpaid volunteer position.
Responsibilities
A teaching assistant&039;s major responsibility is to assist with running the course and supporting instructors in the classroom. They may also aid with other learning activities and provide instructors with answers to pertinent queries. The following duties may be allocated to teaching assistants by the department.
Before live classes:
Research for class contents and support teachers to enhance class materials such as quizzes, homework, and code review.
Attend trial classes and provide feedback for teachers.
During live classes:
Provide support and guidance to students through our online learning system.
Maintain a supportive and safe classroom environment.
After live classes:
Answer students’ questions on our learning management system.
Collaborate with Instructors, Edu PM, and other stakeholders to create intuitive, user- friendly courses and platforms.
Conduct user research and testing to improve user experience (students, parents, and other stakeholders) from course registration to course attendance, etc.
Collaborate with other teams such as Marketing, Operations, Educations, Data Science to support the preparation and delivery of lessons to students (if necessary).
Support other educational activities for students.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering or related field.
Good technical knowledge of AI/Gen AI.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Great collaboration and teamwork skills.
Positive attitude with patience and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
Experienced in teaching, especially in teaching AI/Gen AI.
3rd year students or above
Able to work on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
Have prior volunteer experience.
