Summer Journalism/Communications Internship (Remote)- Possibility for Long- Term Part- Time Role!
We&039;re seeking a talented and motivated
Journalism major
to join our team as a summer communications intern. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands- on experience in various aspects of communications – internal and external, with the potential to transition into a long- term part- time role (20- 24 hours per week) after the summer – and Fridays off!
About the Role:
As a
Journalism/Communications Intern
, you&039;ll work closely with our editorial team to produce high- quality content for our platforms, including articles, blog posts, and social media updates. You&039;ll develop your skills, build your portfolio, and make valuable connections in the industry.
How you’ll shape the future of talent:
Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm and execute winning content strategies
Research and develop creative content ideas
Conduct interviews and gather information from reliable sources
Write and edit engaging articles, blog posts, and other written content
Take on additional responsibilities as assigned
You’ll be someone who can bring:
Ability to work 4- 6 hours/day per work week, Monday- Thursday with Fridays off, US- based remote
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
Currently pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
Familiarity with AP style and journalistic principles
Prior experience with content creation or journalism (a plus, but not required!)
Ability to thrive in a fast- paced environment, working independently and collaboratively
Strong writing and communication skills (written and verbal)
