Job Purpose
This is an ideal role for a young designer who is eager to learn, detail- oriented, and interested in the financial / banking industry.
We are looking for a Creative Designer to support the development of marketing and communication materials for CIMB. This role will work closely with the Marketing team to produce digital and offline creatives that are on- brand, visually appealing, and compliant with banking and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Design & Production
Support design for offline materials: POSM, standees, posters, leaflets, brochures, event backdrops, gifts, etc.
Design and handle adaptation for marketing materials for digital channels: social media (Facebook, Zalo, Instagram, TikTok), website banners, email, mobile app, ZNS, etc.
Adapt global/regional/master KVs into localized versions while maintaining brand consistency.
Working with vendor for design brief for multiple complicated design request: Mail KVs, Videos, etc…
Prepare editable, layered files and final artworks for production (print and digital).
Branding & Consistency
Help maintain and update the visual asset library (icons, templates, image bank, brand elements).
Ensure all creatives strictly follow brand guidelines (logo usage, colors, typography, tone & manner).
Content Collaboration
Work closely with Marketing and Product teams to understand campaign objectives and target audience.
Translate campaign briefs into clear visual concepts and layouts.
Provide basic suggestions on visual storytelling and layout to improve message clarity and impact.
Process & Compliance
Prepare design files for internal and external approvals (brand, legal, compliance where required).
Manage multiple tasks with tight timelines, ensuring on- time delivery with good quality.
Work with external vendors (agencies, printers, production houses) on basic artwork handover and file specs.
Requirements
Education & Experience
Experience in agency or in- house marketing/creative team is a plus, especially in banking/finance, fintech, or FMCG.
0–2 years of experience in graphic design. Internship or freelance experience is acceptable for fresh graduates.
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Visual Communication, or related field.
Technical Skills
Familiarity with Canva and Shutterstock AI or similar design tools is a plus.
Knowledge of basic print production requirements (bleed, safety margins, color modes, file formats) is an advantage.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
Basic understanding of design for digital platforms (screen sizes, resolutions, file formats, optimization).
Soft Skills & Competencies
Basic communication in English (reading and understanding briefs, simple communication with regional teams) is a plus.
Good time management; able to handle multiple briefs and deadlines.
Able to follow brand guidelines yet still propose fresh, creative ideas.
Strong attention to detail and sense of aesthetics (layout, color, typography).
Proactive, willing to learn and receive feedback to improve work.
Nice- to- Have (Preferred)
Interest in banking, personal finance, fintech, or digital products.
Basic skills in motion graphics / simple video editing (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut) for short social media videos.
Experience creating social media content (static posts, carousels, stories, reels/TikTok).
