Operations Executive Shipping

JOB PURPOSE

Be responsible for coordinating with clients, port authorities, and shipping lines to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the shipping process

PRINCIPAL JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

Provide information on the vessel, crew and cargoes to the immigration authority.
Guide and transport crew members in cases of illness, replacements when necessary.
Gathering necessary documents for settling vessel expenses.
Monitor and supervise cargo loading and unloading processes.
Book vessels in and out of Ports and arrange for pilot and tugboat services.
Performing tasks related to shipping agency services.
Other ad- hoc duties when being assigned.
Inspect the berths and coordinate with ports to arrange for vessel entry into the port.
Support Operations Supervisor, Shipping and Commercial, General Manager in doing sales works.
Arrange and coordinate the supply/deliveries of ship spares, stores, contractor services, certificates and documents, provisions, fresh water, waste removal…
Conduct customs clearance procedures for vessels and crew when entering or leaving the port.
Update upcoming/ongoing vessel arrival to principals and vendors.
Collect the information of vessel, vessel schedule and cargoes from the related parties.
Send the report to Shipowners, clients, ports if any.
Advise Customs of vessels’ arrivals and departures and reporting of cargoes onboard vessels.

Educational Qualification
Technical knowledge and Skills

College/ University

Professional Qualification

Maritime, Sea transport economics, export- import, Navigation, Marine engineering

Specialist Knowledge

Knowledge in Marine field, vessel, and Marine legislations

Communication / Language

Fluent in English – oral and writing

Computer Aptitude

Proficient in MS Office

Detailed Experience Levels

Minimum 01 year performing Shipping Operations
