JOB SUMMARY
As a Packing Engineering Specialist, your role extends beyond traditional packing responsibilities. Leading Packing project and work with entire Ashley’s vendor to implement You will optimize packing processes, ensuring compliance with international standards and introducing innovative solutions. Collaborating closely with the sourcing team, your expertise will contribute to material research for packing projects. This includes understanding market trends, sourcing sustainable materials, and implementing green packing initiatives. Your leadership, project management, and market- awareness skills will be instrumental in enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of our packing operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Vendor Management
Working with entire of vendors specializing in furniture production for Packing implementation
Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure quality, efficiency, and on- time delivery.
Packing Process Optimization
Develop and implement efficient packing processes to enhance product safety during transit.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with international packing standards and regulations.
Perform drop tests to assess and improve packaging durability.
Quality Assurance
Implement quality control measures to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Collaborate with suppliers & QC department to maintain and improve product quality.
Packing Innovation Projects
Utilize strong project management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Coordinate cross- functional teams to achieve project goals.
Lead and manage packing innovation projects from conception to implementation.
Green Packing Initiatives:
Lead efforts to develop environmentally friendly packing solutions for all furniture products.
Implement sustainable practices to reduce the environmental impact of the packing process.
Drop Test Proficiency
Conduct drop tests to evaluate packaging effectiveness and durability regarding to packing project
Implement improvements based on drop test results to enhance product protection.
Cost Management:
Identify cost- saving opportunities in the packing process without compromising quality.
Negotiate favorable terms with vendors to optimize overall production costs.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
In charge of all Packing Engineering for all 3rd party suppliers in Vietnam.
