* JOB DESCRIPTION

Scope, order, and assure proper implementation of new processes & equipment with Manufacturing Engineering manager and Manufacturing Supervisor.
Evaluate the entire process flow- part presentation, tooling/equipment needs, manpower assignments, work processes – create and present workflow designs to improve manufacturing operations.
Provide technical support throughout the automotive Industrial paint process.
Quote, develop processing standards, and assist in new product launches
Direct cross- functional paint process improvement projects with the assistance of operations, maintenance, and controls team members
Identify, analyze, and solve manufacturing process issues and equipment- related problems to continuously improve key business metrics
Create work instructions for specific products and processes as assigned in coordination with Manufacturing Engineering manager and Manufacturing Supervisor.
Identify and troubleshoot process, material or equipment problems, recommend solutions to minimize downtime.
Provide a critical link between the paint department and other process partners in areas such as product design, assembly, maintenance, safety, quality, etc
Provide technical support to technicians and work teams and serve as technical resource for the paint department

Understanding of manual spray guns and application required.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Mechanical/ Chemical Engineering or a related field desired. Equivalent education and experience required.
Understanding of industrial conveyors and paint booths required.
Spray robotics experience preferred.
Use of paint quality tools required.
Understanding of visual paint inspection methods.
Strong knowledge of lean principles and the ability to apply them in order to establish and/or improve processes.
Industrial automotive paint experience required.
