About the role:
To assist the Director of People & Culture or Assistant Director of People & Culture with the direction of all aspects of the People & Culture division including benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment and retention of staff, communication to staff, career development of staff, wage & hour compliance, training, workers’ compensation and legal matters related to hotel employees.
Due to Vietnam restrictions on visa and work permit, this position is open for Vietnamese citizens only.
What you will do:
The ability to assist the Learning & Development Manager in training employees on behalf of People & Culture in various areas, including Benefit Programs.
Identify, analyze and initiate appropriate actions to resolve any unsatisfactory pattern of employee turnover.
The ability to assist management and line employees with any concerns or questions.
The ability to possess a high level of professionalism and integrity while maintaining the confidentiality of the office
Manage the financial issues for the P&C budget including benefits, labor & salary reports and plan cost effective events within the P&C budget guidelines.
The ability to interview and refer qualified applicants to Department Heads and Division Heads.
The ability to generate HR reports required by home office.
The ability to support and ensure compliance of Visa/Work Permit & Temporary Residence Card for Expats
The ability to maintain the HR System including input, output and report processing.
The ability to provide assistance relating to employee relations such as direct line committee organization, employee communication, bulletin boards, employee of the month program, employee picnics, parties and general meetings.
Coordinate with DoP&C in People & Culture Success Levels & ensure P&C Team hold accountable for supporting a robust culture on property & all P&C program is delivered at consistently high quality
The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
Act as an objective 3rd party in employee counseling, problem solving or conflict situation and communicate to Director of People & Culture any circumstances that may raise legal issues for the hotel
