Engineering main duties:
Maintenance Planning/ Scheduling:
- Allocating resources to the schedules and work orders issued.
- Completing all administrative and SAP tasks needed to support administration of the routine maintenance program.
- Communicating maintenance schedules to the production and engineering teams and other supporting areas and allocating the necessary resources.
- Providing feedback with regards to the efficiency of routine maintenance tasks to the shift and engineering teams and discussing and stressing the importance of non- conformances and issues that need to be addressed.
- Ensuring that routine maintenance schedules are performed, and that the teams on each shift are carrying out the autonomous maintenance tasks assigned to them.
- Preparing maintenance schedules, including tasks such as cleaning, lubrication and inspections using SAP.
- Deciding for the allocation of resources for maintenance.
Maintenance System Management:
- Promoting timely issuance of maintenance notices and good maintenance practices aimed at preventing, minimizing, and reducing or eliminating contamination problems, including proper effluent, emission, and waste management among the work teams.
- Planning necessary maintenance tasks using the maintenance system, thereby generating plans and associated work orders.
- Managing the maintenance system, thereby ensuring integrity of operations and data and proper use of the system.
- Participating in the receipt of new maintenance systems or changes to the current maintenance system whenever necessary.
- Issuing maintenance reports, including SAP generated reports, and communicating the reports to the relevant parties involved.
- Conducting a review of maintenance data in order to identify failure modes and root causes of maintenance problems and to identify problems in time.
- Whenever the review of maintenance data indicates the needs to do some work, this information must be communicated to the engineering team and included in the scheduled maintenance program.
- Capturing necessary data in the maintenance system. Information and data must be checked for accuracy and completeness.
Others:
- Co- operate with other department to make develop plan for VSA to improve cost and productivity.
- Make the strategy plan, monitoring, checking for ATO, PTE to follow the Zone guidelines.
- Co- operate with other department to plan for machines better than new to insure the machines in highest performance.
- Develop plan to use local spare parts vendor to minimize cost and reduce inventory stock as guideline from Zone.
Engineering support:
- Manage and control engineering department budget to deliver the excellent support with the optimum cost by spare parts sharing, local supplier, consignment supplier, Vendor supplier alliance.
- Recommend technical improvement for efficiency equipment operation.
- Contribute improvement solution, automation procedure to assure equipment and machine operate effectively, quality and save cost.
