Process Engineer

Technical Mastery
- Develop & teach operating procedures and ensure they are fully effective.
- Develop forward plans for the technologies.
- Be an expert in the technologies of the line.
Capability building
- Ensure there is a high level of technical competence within the operating team.
- Develop and deliver training and skills improvements.
- Use systems to build capability of operators and technicians.
Drive Process reliability and stability by solving the chronic problems on the line.
- Give technical confirmation to any request or project proposal that affects the process or equipment.
- Understand and analyse process variability root causes and define systems to eliminate them.
- Increase the stability of the line to support the transition of traditional line teams to autonomous teams.
- Design and define critical process parameters and centrelines; track and ensure adherence to them.
Process data gathering and issues analysis
- Coach & teach the team to solve these issues.
- Identify and prioritise process capability issues for performance or quality.
- Implement & maintain systems to collect, collate and analyse data on key process parameters.
Improve process capability and quality
- Identify improvement opportunities & projects
- Take responsibility for implementation by leading & coaching the line teams
Be responsible for the validation of all process improvements and the establishment of revised basic conditions on the line.
Identify and lead the implementation of Productivity Improvement Projects
Drive Labor productivities improvement through line crews and process optimization
Be a Leader of the Future
- Cover for Line Leader when needed
- Display the correct behaviours with the team and be seen as a leader of the area
Identify and extend good practice to other lines.
Be responsible for quantity and quality requirements
Master of FI tools and IL6S methodologies to apply in daily job.
Be FI members or pillar members as required and responsible for implementation of IL6S in respective areas
Perform other tasks when required
- Be able to present findings and rationales clearly so that whole factory team can understand;
- Be able to visualize clearly what the ideal production system is;
- Analytical and conceptual skills, technical judgement and design knowledge.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement processes and programmes.
- Experience in statistics and process control tools.
- Good knowledge of engineering health and Safety and legislation.
- Be able to make logical decisions based on data;
- Fundamental know how and experience in food processes and products
