Purpose of the position
Reporting to the Process R&D Optimization Manager, the Process R&D Optimization Specialist is responsible for executing the IoT project and resolving all related issues. Additionally, this role involves continuously updating new technology solutions and implementing them in the factory, collaborating with the team to improve processes, and supporting the factory team as needed.
Main Responsibilities:
The Process R&D Optimization Specialist (IoT) responsibilities are to:
Program the microprocessors and sensors of the objects to collect the necessary data for the application.
Prepare documentation and training for users on how to operate and use the IoT system
Propose and plan the development of digital solutions based on emerging smart technologies, considering cost, resources, and deadlines.
Develop innovative projects and platforms that take advantage of the potential of devices with IoT. Identify the needs of entities, institutions, companies, and organizations and advise on possible opportunities to develop new projects that provide added value or increase competitiveness.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by the manager.
Prototype, test, and analyze the feasibility of the proposed solutions.
Analyse the data obtained in order to assess performance and possible improvements.
Investigate and become familiar with technology trends like machine learning or predictive analytics.
Collaborate with other programming and data analysis specialists to develop complex technology solutions.
Implement policies and actions to guarantee security regarding data transfer.
Create interconnection networks of objects with the internet (cloud computing).
Scope of authorisation / decision making
The Process R&D Optimization Specialist is authorized to manage and resolve issues related to the IoT project, implement new technology solutions, and make recommendations for process improvements. Major decisions and strategic changes require approval from the Process R&D Optimization Manager.
