Our client is a foreign- invested company, now looking for a Procurement Leader (Machinery, $1200, ID17761)
Procurement Operations
Manage the consolidation and review of purchase requisitions from all departments and manufacturing sites.
Work closely with suppliers to confirm specifications, lead times, and delivery schedules.
Approve and supervise Purchase Order (PO) creation in SAP.
Facilitate the approval process for new purchase requests in alignment with factory management.
Verify stock availability in SAP and coordinate with Maintenance and Warehouse teams.
Ensure all procurement documentation is complete, accurate, and audit- compliant.
Supplier Management & Negotiation
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance in areas such as quality, delivery, and service responsiveness.
Resolve any delivery or quality disputes in collaboration with Quality Assurance and technical teams.
Identify, assess, and qualify suitable suppliers for machinery and spare parts.
Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and service agreements to achieve optimal cost and quality outcomes.
Inventory Management
Manage the return or replacement process for defective or non- conforming items.
Support inventory balancing and participate in periodic stock audits.
Ensure accurate recording of goods receipts (GR) and inventory updates in SAP.
Reporting & Budget Control
Provide regular updates to senior management regarding procurement status, risks, and action plans.
Track and report on procurement KPIs, such as lead times, cost savings, and delivery reliability.
Analyze market trends and pricing to identify and recommend cost- saving initiatives.
Coordinate with the Finance team on payment schedules and procurement budget planning.
Team Leadership & Development
Develop and improve internal procurement procedures and systems.
Serve as the escalation point for critical supplier issues or procurement bottlenecks.
Lead and manage the purchasing team, setting clear goals and assigning responsibilities.
Monitor team performance to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with processes.
