The role:
We have an exciting new vacancy in our Vietnamese site, in Hanoi, for a Procurement Manager. This role will have overall responsibility for country purchasing budget at the lowest total cost in accordance with the company procurement policy.
Through effective leadership of their team and working closely with the purchasing teams in other countries the role holder will ensure through constant review and analysis of policy, procedure and products are efficient, cost effective and continuously improved.
Main responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
Ensure the supplier selection process, qualification of alternative sources, supply base rationalization programs, and other relevant strategies to maximize supply base potential.
Monitor suppliers’ performance: actual price vs commodity indexes development (eg. ICIS, KI), on- time delivery performance, and quality overview.
Manage, mentor, and support the local Procurement team; set and review their objectives; support goals delivery.
Manage and execute Category strategy according to agreed objectives.
Efficiently cooperate with budget holders to drive continuous improvement and ensure Procurement Policy is adhered to
Review, analyze, and interpret supplied market data to identify new competitive suppliers.
Regularly update the Saving Initiatives pipeline; take an active part in group procurement meetings.
Prepare monthly reports to the Head of Procurement.
Develop and maintain accurate existing suppliers’ database: product specifications, supply contracts (prices, indexes, service targets, terms, and conditions), accreditations & audit status, manufacturing capability, and maintain professional business relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
Participate in periodic suppliers’ evaluation process. Develop and share supplier visit reports.

Bachelor&039;s degree or equivalent equivalent experience in purchasing, or supply chain management
Ideally CIPS qualified/equivalent or working towards
