- SOURCING
• Accountability for long term assurance of supply, supplier performance and selection, supply management information/data management, providing support and guidance to relevant procurement peers, building of supply market intelligence to support business or market decisions.
• Work closely with multiple teams (like sales, planners, logistics or production) to meet business requirement or any new project target.
• Ensure supply is not interrupted, coordinate action plan in case of supply issues.
• Manage the Direct/Indirect spend portfolio and his/her team within Region to ensure balanced workload and maximized synergies.
• Responsible for supplier management. Develop and maintain supplier relations in order to involve key suppliers as early as possible for the assigned scope.
• Document supplier information and procurement system data input, including PO & Vendor info in SAP system, sourcing file, supply contract… and etc
• Act as primary contact towards key suppliers and develop strong partnerships with these suppliers.
• Makes sure he/she and his/her team is involved in site cost development and CAPEX plans & projects (from inception to when project is closed out) and ensures that procurement savings initiatives are aligned.
• Set up supplier performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in supplier’s quality, cost saving and on time delivery.
• Lead contract and price negotiations for the assigned supplier portfolio to meet saving target.
• Understand the goals of procurement team, co-develop, maintain and execute RM strategies for the assigned supplier portfolio.
• Make sure supplier performance against agreed upon key performance indicators is reviewed and action plans for continuous improvement are defined.
• Responsible for building a preferred supply base for the assigned scope. Leverage existing supply base and make recommendations for backup suppliers.
• Ensure frequent communication with external/internal suppliers and third parties to update material price information and define the cost-effective pricing structure.
• Seek synergy, and where appropriate, support, ensuring team works with other functions and others Regions. Manage the cost saving pipeline to ensure regional targets for cost reduction are met.
- COMMUNICATION & COLLABORATION
• Foster problem solving thru cross functional collaboration, and leverage Procurement Manager in driving best practice implementation on total spend.
- PROCESSES, PROCEDURES, QUALITY
• Ensure at all times compliance with internal control procedures and other regulatory procedures, ie Code of Conduct, ISO procedures, internal SHE procedures etc.
• Challenge the status quo & promote value creating ideas in daily operations leading to continuous improvement in our procedures and processes.
