Product Engineer

JOB SUMMARY

The Product Engineer is responsible for assisting the Product Engineering Manager as well as R & D in developing and implementing engineering and quality specifications for all products. Will investigate suggestions, ideas and cost savings to continuously improve the production line.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Insure that all engineering data systems are maintained and coordinated with all engineering change orders

2. Work with Cover-fit, P&IC, Production to ensure optimum manufacturing processes promoting standardization of components and reducing waste in our products and systems through the application of Lean Manufacturing techniques

3. Communicate with U.S, China facilities for product engineering

4. In charge of information on AIS for Wanek Vault like 3D Poly, Fiber, CB drawing & layout, …

5. Work closely with US, WV to communicate about new frame, FOAM pattern, ECO, ECR updating…

6. Support for packing engineering of product.

7. Effective in communicating both internally and externally.

8. Will be the driving force for implementing and improving the safety standards of the company.

9. Complete other assignments and special projects as requested by Department Manager.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

In charge of Product Engineering for Upholstery Production.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Education

• Graduated university with the major relating to engineering, graphic designing.
• Good command of English communication skill

2. Experience

• More than 2 years of experience at Engineer level in relevant role in large labor intensive manufacturing company (headcount >2,000)
• Expert user of Excel and 3D, 2D
• Familiar with R&D or product engineering

3. Knowledge of:

• Lean thinking, lean manufacturing
• Theory of constraints
• Project management
• Change management
